Where Can I Serve?

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Calvary Worship Center is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Calvary Worship Center members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

WAAM (Worship And Arts Ministry)

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music, dance and drama, as well as our poets and spoken word ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama, dance, painting, and poems. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Calvary Worship Center, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

The Connect Team

The Connect Team at Calvary Worship Center fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The Connect team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.  They aim to make you feel like you belong from the moment you walk in.  The Connect Team is also the team that helps you find where you might fit in the ministry.  From joining a Life Group to joining the Friday Night Community Feeding Ministry.

The Get It Done Crew

This group sees a job and they want to do it.  They handle everything from snow removal in the winter to landscaping in the summer.  They help families with home moves.  They lead the way on cleaning and maintenance.  No job is too big or too small.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Calvary/Calvario. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. From live sound engineers to multimedia screens that help make the worship experience interactive and fresh; this ministry is vital to our success in spreading the gospel.  We also maintain an active CD Ministry, Web Site, Facebook and Twitter feeds for additional church communication.

Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. At Calvary/Calvario we have dedicated people that offer “marriage classes” as well as counseling (pre and post marriage). Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.  We are currently recruiting married couples that feel they have something to offer to other married couples.  You will have the ability to listen, counsel and apply biblical truths to issues as well as offer sound biblical advice.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Calvary Worship Center is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty.  On Tuesday and Thursday nights, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team pray for the pastors, church, and ministries.  They lift up prayers for a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Calvary Worship Center holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the Sunday service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church leaders and volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to arts and crafts, to object lessons.

Youth Ministry

There are few things more gratifying than working in a good youth ministry organization.  While it is also very challenging, we have found that the reward far exceeds any challenge.

We look at youth in three major categories.  College (Excel), High School (Redefined) and Middle School (Ignite).

Verse of the Day

You wouldn’t think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you’d be asking for what you have no right to. You’re spoiled children, each wanting your own way. — James 4:3 (MSG)
